About this Auction

Allllllll Aboard! This Polar Express-themed tree was decorated by United Way of Natrona County’s Community Engagement Committee – Also Known as The Community Engagement Crew. The Crew’s mission is “To support our community and mobilize its members through engagement activities and volunteer opportunities.” We are a group of individuals who are community-driven, socially connected, and enthusiastic about volunteerism. (Think of us as United Way’s fun younger sibling.)” We BELIEVE that everyone has something to contribute to our community. We BELIEVE in the giving power of our community. We BELIEVE in the tremendous work United Way of Natrona County’s 32 Partner Agencies do and the services they provide to our community.

Special Olympics is founded on the belief that people with intellectual disabilities can, with proper instruction & encouragement, learn, enjoy & benefit from participation in individual & team sports, adapted as necessary to meet the needs of those with intellectual & physical limitations. Special Olympics believes that consistent training is indispensable to the development of an individual’s sports skills. In addition, competition among those of equal abilities is the most appropriate means of testing these skills, measuring progress, and providing incentives for personal growth.
