Register today and come to the Jackalope Jump where we'll be #FREEZINFORAREASON to support the 1,600+ Special Olympics athletes who compete year-round in Wyoming. All funds raised will benefit the Special Olympics athletes, covering program costs such as transportation, sports equipment, team uniforms, and meals. Because of your participation, people with intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to discover new strengths, abilities, and accomplishments.

Jump as an individual alongside other supporters, join a team, or create your own fearless team. Recruit friends, family, and co-workers to #MAKEASPLASH. All are invited!

Awards to recognize the best costume, largest group, and most funds raised are given out with a chance to earn some cool extras!
*Fleece jackets will be ordered in May and sent to recipients

In Support of Special Olympics Wyoming
Special Olympics is founded on the belief that people with intellectual disabilities can, with proper instruction & encouragement, learn, enjoy & benefit from participation in individual & team sports, adapted as necessary to meet the needs of those with intellectual & physical limitations. Special Olympics believes that consistent training is indispensable to the development of an individual’s sports skills. In addition, competition among those of equal abilities is the most appropriate means of testing these skills, measuring progress, and providing incentives for personal growth.
The Legendary Jackalope Jump!
Some may know the legend of the Jackalope, but few have ever seen one! This horned jackrabbit has evaded many a hunter and continues to remain a mysterious creature roaming the plains of Wyoming.
Wyoming is the one and only location on the planet to hold an annual Jackalope Jump, also known as Polar Plunge events in other parts of the country.  
Jumpers create awareness and raise funds to support Special Olympics WY by participating in a cold water plunge fundraising event.  
This statewide event runs from February through March each year. Awards to recognize the best costume, largest group, and most funds raised are given out with a chance to earn some cool Special Olympics gear!

Life Skills provides supports and services to numerous children and adults with disabilities on an annual basis, and is one of Sweetwater County’s few providers tailored primarily for those residing in independent living situations, and residential home placements further promoting independence and providing maximum community inclusion. Life Skills is known for its hands on approach to tackling difficult situations and creating opportunities in the community for job placement, advocacy, and coordination of services between agencies. Life Skills is widely recognized for its individually tailored approach to those we serve.
