A Message From Platte County Patriots

We are a team of individuals that love our community and our country. We all love and support Special Olympics locally and State wide. This year we are excited to once again take the freezing cold plunge to help raise funds for an organization so close to our hearts. The Jackalope Jump—sometimes held in conjunction with the Law Enforcement Torch Run— is a huge fundraising effort benefiting Special Olympics and the athletes. In order to participate, individuals or teams collect pledges from friends, family, and colleagues to lock in their spot!

In Support of Special Olympics Wyoming
Special Olympics is founded on the belief that people with intellectual disabilities can, with proper instruction & encouragement, learn, enjoy & benefit from participation in individual & team sports, adapted as necessary to meet the needs of those with intellectual & physical limitations. Special Olympics believes that consistent training is indispensable to the development of an individual’s sports skills. In addition, competition among those of equal abilities is the most appropriate means of testing these skills, measuring progress, and providing incentives for personal growth.
