A Message From Team Jared

Our jumping is for Jared to go to state bowling and for him to do his best since he works at big dogs lanes. We have the motivation for this because Jared works hard and tries his best at everything and we like bowling with him. Jared has became a part of this big dog lane family and we treat him like he's one of us and it gives him more confidence. Special Olympics is founded on the belief that people with intellectual disabilities can, with proper instruction & encouragement, learn, enjoy & benefit from participation in individual & team sports, adapted as necessary to meet the needs of those with intellectual & physical limitations. Special Olympics believes that consistent training is indispensable to the development of an individual’s sports skills. In addition, competition among those of equal abilities is the most appropriate means of testing these skills, measuring progress, and providing incentives for personal growth.
